Sanctification is the moving of the Holy Spirit in a person’s life that with the first pouring cleanses the heart and mind. It is that first moment and then every moment thereafter that a Christian dedicates their entire life to the saving graces of Jesus Christ, to be called and to be obedient to God the Father, and to be open and faithful to the Holy Spirit. It is the race that Paul speaks of … “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” Hebrews 12:1. It is being totally sold out for Jesus the Christ, to continually have His Words and praises on our lips, in our heart and in our minds.
